The Wealthier You
Wherever I go and will be, I am committed to making my grandparents proud. Their values and legacy inspire me daily to strive for excellence and integrity. I honor their memory by dedicating myself to hard work and compassion in everything I do.
My Life Story
From Humble Beginnings
I was so young when I lost both of my parents. I lost my mom when I was 7 years old and my dad passed away when I was 13. My grandparents raised and took care of us (we are 3 siblings). I grew up in a modest hometown from the Southern part of Cebu.
I remember when I was little, I volunteered to work in my neighbors’ sari-sari store for some pennies and even provide massage service to a paralyzed spouse of the store owner. I didn’t have to do that because my grandfather was actually a great provider. We are not just confident to ask for more than we need, so I felt the need to work on stuff to cater to my wants.
My grandfather is a pure-blooded Chinese, and he instilled in me the values of hard work and perseverance. I also go with my grandma to every community gathering we call back then as “Makalipang”. We visit houses as a group and pray over the house for blessing. I also remember my childhood, along with some kids that we hop on in different houses to also do “Baranggayan”, still we pray over the respective houses.
Early Life and Education
From a young age, I was always fascinated by the world of business and finance. I pursued my studies with dedication, earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I would like to honor USJ-R who has this great initiative to reward students with up to 100% discount for students with high average rating. I was determined enough to get a high average rating to lessen the burden of my benefactors. Eager to learn more and equipped with a passion for helping others, I went on to obtain my Master’s degree in Business Administration and, later, a Doctorate in Business Administration. Throughout my academic journey, I was determined to not only excel in my studies but also to apply my knowledge to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
I landed on different corporate jobs and worked in the BPO industry for 4 years to get a better pay. I was able to invest more in learning new skills. My grandparents wanted me to work in the bank because they are not in favor of me commuting at night and also they are concern of my sleeping pattern. I know they didn’t understand what my reasons are back then, but I am sure they’re able to comprehend now the kind of hustle I submit myself to. It’s all for them, but God took them already. It’s a loss you can’t move on from (and you don’t have to). I just go on with life and move forward because I know they are in a better place now.
The Shift to Freelancing and Digital Marketing
In 2020, I took a bold step and transitioned to freelancing. This decision was driven by my desire for greater flexibility and the opportunity to work on diverse projects. I delved into the world of digital marketing, upskilling in SEO, WordPress, and content writing. I established my digital marketing agency where I help professional service providers enhance their online presence and grow their businesses.
Faith and Financial Stewardship
My journey has always been guided by my faith. I believe that true wealth goes beyond material possessions; it encompasses spiritual fulfillment, purpose-driven entrepreneurship, and wise financial stewardship. This belief led me to create Peso Prophet, a platform dedicated to empowering Filipinos with practical financial advice, heartfelt stories, and timeless wisdom rooted in Biblical principles.
Giving Back and Teaching
In addition to my professional endeavors, I have a passion for teaching. As a part-time teacher, I have the privilege of shaping the minds of future business leaders. I also conduct research studies and share my findings to contribute to the academic community and help businesses thrive.
Looking Ahead
My mission with Peso Prophet is to guide individuals on their journey to financial freedom through faith-based principles. I am committed to inspiring and equipping aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools and insights needed to succeed in business while staying true to their values. Integrating Faith and Financial Wisdom for Abundant Living
Achieve Time, Location, and Financial Freedom...
SAVE
Save automatically and regularly. The basic principle in saving is to save first then spend. Some would settle first the fixed expenses and monthly obligations, then save before spending for wants. In percentage, you are required to allocate at least 20% of your gross income.
Income – Savings = Expenses
INVEST
Investing is a lifestyle that you need to hone if you want to retire early and live independently. Saving is the first habit you need to practice before entering the game of investing. This is to ensure that you won't make any premature withdrawals for emergency purposes. Invest what you can afford to lose. While you can be strategic, there are still things that are beyond our control. Invest in learning too and monetize your gifts.
DONATE
In Malachi 3:10, God says, "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." Sharing to others like monetary resources, skills, knowledge will not substract from your blessings, instead it can even add up. There is room for all of us to be abundant in everything.
